Who it's for

Is sedation right for you?

For anxious patients

If dental anxiety has kept you away — even for years — sedation lets you get the care you need while you're completely relaxed or asleep. Many of our patients haven't been to a dentist in a long time. You're not alone, and there's no judgment here.

For larger procedures

Facing multiple extractions, implants, or extensive work? Sedation lets us complete more in a single comfortable visit, so you're not making trip after trip.

Dr. Jason L. Joseph

Board-Certified Dental Anesthesiologist

For sedation cases, we bring in Dr. Jason L. Joseph of Ambulatory Dental Anesthesia of New York — a board-certified dental anesthesiologist who comes to our office with his own team and equipment to administer and monitor your sedation. You receive hospital-level anesthesia care in our familiar, comfortable office.

His focus is safety: his team is trained in advanced pediatric and adult life support (ACLS/PALS), uses the latest monitoring equipment, and tailors the anesthesia to each patient — never a one-size-fits-all approach.

FAQ

Common questions about sedation

Will I be asleep?+

Depending on what's right for you, sedation can range from deeply relaxed to fully asleep. The anesthesiologist will discuss the best option at your consultation.

Is sedation safe?+

When provided by a board-certified dental anesthesiologist with proper monitoring, in-office sedation is considered a safe alternative to a hospital setting. Your health is reviewed beforehand and you're monitored the entire time.

Will I remember the procedure?+

Most patients have little or no memory of treatment under sedation.

Can I drive afterward?+

No. You'll need a trusted adult to drive you home and stay with you as the sedation wears off.

Does insurance cover sedation?+

Coverage varies. We'll help you understand your options — call us to discuss.

How much does it cost?+

Sedation is priced per case depending on what's needed. Call us for a consultation and we'll give you a clear quote.
